In the pdf PoluluPres.pdf on page 5 there is a schematic for a Arduino and a A4983 stepper controller board. The schematic is for Arduino Pins 3, 4, and 5.
On the Arduino, will these be digital pins 3,4 and 5 or Anlog Pins 3,4, and 5?
I think it is most likely the digital pins. I think people refer to the analog pins as “pin A4” or “analog pin 4,” and there is no reason for those pins on the stepper motor driver to be connected to the analog pins, unless you are already out of other less-valuable GPIO.
