VNH5019 power a raspberry pi

I bought the VNH5019 motor driver and I was wondering. Could you power a Raspberry pi with it and how much amps can you draw from the Vout pin?

Hi.

You could probably safely draw 3A from the VOUT pin on either our VNH5019 carrier or our dual VNH5019 shield, but that pin just provides the full input voltage, which must be at least 5.5V for the driver to run. If you use a regulator to reduce the input voltage to 5V for the Raspberry Pi, there should be enough power for it.
