VNH5019 current sense

Hi
I am trying to run a Pololu 100:1 Metal Gearmotor 37Dx57L with a Pololu VNH5019 motor driver using a NI cRIO to send the pwm signals. I am trying to measure the current using the CS pin on the driver. I have connected the CS pin to a analog input module on the cRIO, but I am getting values that make no sense like -7 to 7 V. Do I need to ground the CS pin to the AI module on the cRIO? Also, is the CS voltage a Reference Single Ended Voltage signal or a Non Reference signal?

Thanks
Sid

It sounds like the input is floating.

Always connect the grounds. Ground provides the zero reference.
