Using L298 logic motor diver for 37D motors

I am using a DROK 7A/160W dual motor driver and trying to run two Pololu 37D metal gear motors.

Is there a problem with this? It seems to just create a short circuit on my battery supply. I did only put 4.8 power supply voltage and they require 6.5V, so I’m stacking a couple of battery packs to see if that is the problem.

Never mind! I got it. I put a higher voltage across the driver and things work great.
