Trex Jr motor voltage

Hi,

Apologies if this is a silly question. I have a Rover 5 which has 7.2v motors. Does the Trex Jr detect the voltage required by the motors or do I feed the Trex Jr the same rated voltage the the motors?

The Rova 5 comes with a 6 AA battery pack… That’s 9v… I’m confused.

Hello, Pete.

You can limit the effective voltage to the motor by adjusting the maximum PWM duty cycle under the “Motor Params” tab of the TReX Configurator. Since 7.2V is 80% of 9V, you would set the PWM Maximum to about 204 (about 80%) out of the 1-255 range.
