Tic 36v4 stepper drive not being detected by Rpi4 (Flashing lights)

Hello,

I have a tic 36v4 stepper motor driver and have connected it to my Raspberry pi 4 via a usb connection. I run the ticcmd --list to see if the Rpi can detect the driver but it doesn’t. In addition I get flashing lights shown in the attached video. It seems there is an error shown by the red LED.

Hello.

You can find the meaning of the LED blinking patterns in the “LED Feedback” section of the Tic user’s guide. In this case, it looks like the green LED is blinking slowly, indicating that it is not receiving the message from the Raspberry Pi that indicates it was recognized. Have you installed the “Tic Software for Linux (Raspberry Pi)” by following the instructions in the “Installing Linux software” section of the user’s guide? If so, could you try different USB cables? Some USB cables are only intended for charging and lack the required data wires for communication, so if you have a cable you know works for communication with other devices, that would be preferable.
