I have a custom board with 6 x TB6612 modules. VCC is 5V and VMOT is about 13v.
The board seems to be drawing 755 µA from VMOT, when all PWM and control lines should be set low. (STBY is tied to 5v).
Is this expected, or does it indicate some problem with my board? The Toshiba data sheet does not specify a supply current when STBY is high and the drivers are off - only when STBY is low.
Hello.
Just to clarify, is the 755 µA is from measuring the combined current draw of all six of your TB6612FNG boards, or is that just the current draw for an individual driver?

755 uA is the combined draw of all six modules.
We checked this with a single unit here and measured VMOT drawing 135 µA from the supply when the board was enabled (i.e. nSTBY set high) but not driving a motor. So it seems like that is normal behavior for the driver and does not on its own indicate a problem.

Great, thanks for checking this.
