Single Motor Control with Dual VNH5019

I want to use dual VNH5019 with single linear actuator. There is an explanation in datasheet to use single channel mode for more power and current. But I dont need more power. Can I use only one channel of motor driver (only M1A and M1B) without wiring actuator to 2nd channel of driver like below picture? Does linear actuator motor work properly in this combination?

Yes, you can use only one channel of the VNH5019 to drive a single motor like you describe.
