Safe Start violations when I de-energize stepper

Hi,
Just curious if this is something I should be concerned with. Whenever, I “De-energize” the step in the Tic Control Center, the “Safe start violation” counter start counting up. As soon as I “resume” the stepper, the counter stops.

What is causing this and is it something I can fix or should I just ignore. Everything else seems to be working.

Hello, russellm

The safe start feature functions differently based on what input mode you are in, but it is normal for it to trigger when you use the “De-energize” button in the Tic Control Center. You can read more about the conditions that cause this safe start violation (based on your input mode) in the “Error handling” section of the Tic user’s guide. Also, please note that if the safe start feature is not practical for your application, you can disable it in the “Advanced settings” tab of the Tic Control Center.
