I’m building a rover using a Dagu Wild Thumper 4 wheel drive, with the motors on each side wired in parallel and 6v brushed DC motors.
I also have a Holybro Pixhawk mini with a Power Module PM06 Ver 2.0.
I’m pretty much a newbie with rovers, so please pardon my basic questions.
Can I use the Pololu RoboClaw 2x15A Motor Controller (V5E) to control my two sets of parallel motors in the Thumper with the Holybro Pixhawk Mini?
Is there any other hardware or cabling I’ll need to complete the Pixhawk/Motor Controller/Motor circuit?
I am not very familiar with the Holybro Pixhawk, but from a quick inspection of the Holybro Pixhawk mini product page it looks like it has several pins that can generate hobby servo pulses and a UART serial interface, so you could probably use one of those options to control a RoboClaw. You will have to read through the manuals for both the RoboClaw and the Pixhawk to figure out all the details.
I do not have any specific suggestions for what hardware or cabling you should use to make all of your connections. Here are links to our selection of cables and connectors.
