It is hard to say what might be happening based on your brief description. Can you post some more information about your setup? What stepper motor are you using? Did you set the current limit, and if so, what did you set the VREF voltage to? Could you post a simplified, but complete, version of your code that you believe should work, but doesn’t? Also, can you post some pictures of your setup that shows all of your connections?
