Pololu Tic Stepper Controller for Animatronic

Hello,

I am currently working on building a full sized humanoid animatronic body and I am using Nema 17 Stepper motors with gearboxes, timing belts and pulleys to increase torque and drive the arms, and torso. Since I am building an animatronic I need a controller that controls the stepper motors and allow me to create a routine (like the Pololu Maestro but for Stepper motors). I am wondering if the Tic Stepper controller can achieve this? Or if you have another controller that can do this?

Thanks in advance.

Hello.

The Tic does not currently support that kind of sequencing feature; however, it is something we would like to support in the future. In the meantime, since the Tics can be configured to accept RC input, one way you could do this is by using the Maestro as a main controller to send signals to Tic controllers.
