I’m planning to use two 36v11 to drive a pair of brushed DC-motors in opposition to get a backlash-free gear-train. One motor for forward and the other motor for reverse, while using the shutdown pin to switch off or to PWM modulate the braking. Thus I want to know the guaranteed behaviour of the gate driver when shutdown transitions high and low when there is an EMF present from the load (the mechanically back-driven “passive” motor acting as a generator).
Further, it’s good to know the guaranteed rise times of the gate drive currents for EMC reasons, and for Miller effect (load to gate capacitively coupled energy) reasons.

Please note that the nSLP pin on the H2 High-Power Motor Driver 36v11 CS is not intended to have a PWM signal applied to it. You might consider the High-Power Motor Driver 36v20 CS, which has more control options.
If you email us (and refer to this forum thread), we can probably get you some more details.

Compared to the 36v20, the 36v11 has 10V better maximum input voltage and much improved protection against reversed input voltage, overcurrent and overtemperature. That aside, I too would have preferred the 36v20.
