Pololu Dual MC33926 Shield not powering Arduino

Hi there guys. I recently bought the Pololu Dual MC33926 Motor Driver Shield for an Arduino. One of the main reasons I bought it was to power the Arduino from the shield.

When I connect the power to the shield, the blue led that says ARDVIN=VOUT lights up blue yet the arduino is not getting power. The led is on no matter if the shorting block is in place or not.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hello.

The LED you are talking about does not indicate when the Arduino is being supplied power. The blue LED indicates when the shield is being supplied power. Could you tell me why you think the Arduino isn’t getting power? Could you also tell me more about your setup? What are you using to supply power to the shield? Could you also post pictures of your setup that show all connections and some pictures that show your soldering?
