Pololu A4988: RESET and SLEEP

Hi,
I bought this Stepper Motor Driver Carrier (https://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/1182). I started build this: http://openmoco.org/user-interface/minie-2x16-ui-and-minimal-engine#comment-2179
I want to use the Pololu instead of the EasyDriver. The Engine uses the sleep-function of the IC. But if I connect the sleep-pin to the engine on the Arduino, I dont know what to do with the reset-pin.

pololu.com/file/0J450/a4988_ … slator.pdf page 7:
The RESET input sets the translator
to a predefined Home state, and turns off all of the FET outputs. All STEP inputs are ignored untilthe RESET input is set to high.
I think, I have to connect it to +5V across a pullup resistor (eg. 100kOhm), right?
No sooner said than done. But the Pin is still LOW at 0,6V…
I don’t know, but I think the reset-input is damaged. I’m a little bit stumped
Anyway there is no current running through the coils of the motor.

Have you any ideas whats wrong with it? Is there a mistake in my circuit? Or is the Pololu actually damaged?

greetings from Germany
Bo
