Can you tell us what you are using for a power supply and its voltage?

Power supply is a li-ion 24V, 72Ah battery.
You might consider using one of our G2 High-Power Motor Driver 24v21, but it might be a little underpowered since it is not clear what your motor’s stall current is. You might also consider one of the RoboClaw motor controllers if you think your motor has a large stall current or will be under heavy loads.

Can you tell me what value of capacitor is required to connect across the supply?

In general, it will depend on your system and what it needs. You could try a few hundred µF and add more if you experience problems.
