Jrk 21v3 PCB

Hello,

I am designing my own PCB for a project where I use a jrk 21v3. I would like to include its schematic and footprints into my design and I wonder if these are available somewhere ?

Many thanks.

Hello.

Welcome to the forum. We do not release a schematic for the Jrk 21v3, but if you are planning on using it as a daughter board to your PCB you can find the drill guide DXF (which has the locations of all of the boards holes), as well as a dimension diagram under the “Resources” tab of the Jrk 21v3 product page.

By the way, the original Jrk 21v3 is not recommended for new designs, so you might consider switching to the newer and better Jrk G2 21v3. A drill guide and dimension diagram is also available for the Jrk G2 21v3 under the “Resources” tab of its respective product page.

Hello Brandon,

Ok, thanks a lot!

Hi Brandon,
I am using pololu boards for a while like what you suggested: a sister board for a costum PCB . Only now I wonder if this is a proper method or the best is to make pololu board further away from the PCB to reduce EMC/EMI effects? beacuse I am reading out speed and current and errors out of pololu and they are showing me wrong values in my last project I wonder if that is a result of interference?

It is typically better to keep the motor controller closer to the microcontroller, and have the longer distance between the controller and motor. If you would like help troubleshooting your errors, you can start a thread of your own for the issue with details about your setup and what you have tried, and we would be happy to take a look.
