Hello,
I am trying to control a Brushed DC motor (131:1 Metal Gearmotor 37Dx57L mm with 64 CPR Encoder). This might be stupid question.
Say the motor is applying a certain force (load) and find that the Force applied is not enough. To increase the force applied should i just try to increase the speed (or accelerate) of the motor and viceversa to decrease the force?
I think the answer is “yes.” I’m assuming that by “increase acceleration” you end up doing something like increasing the duty cycle of the PWM that controls the motor power. Exactly how you do that depends on what kind of motor controller or driver you’re using.
Yes i am increasing the duty cycle by increasing the speed. I am using the TReX DMC01 motor controller.
The Duty Cycle is given by, D = Motor Speed setting / PWM Max. I have set the PWM max to be 127. So if i decrease the speed setting from 127 to 0 the the motor speed reduces.
