I2C support for motor controllers?

I really like the the qik 2s9v1 motor controller but I’d love it to support I2C. I myself don’t know the I2C protocol but is it not possible to create a firmware update for qik 2s9v1 that supports I2C?

If a firmware option is not possible then would it be possible to see I2C versions of your controllers in the future, or versions that can be configured for either? I’d assume there would be demand as I2C seems very common.

Or am I missing something here? I’m very new to most of this.

Hello.

Thanks for the kind words about the qik. It might be possible to add support for I2C in the future. However, there are currently no plans for adding that feature to the qik or for coming out with new I2C motor controllers.
