I unfortunately managed to pull the end cap off a micro metal gearmotor, removing the brushes from the contacts. I’ve tried to reassemble the motor but the it won’t function anymore. Has anyone managed reassemble one? Have I damaged it beyond repair? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I am sorry that happened. It might be possible to get that gearmotor working again, but as you have noticed, it is very difficult to insert the end cap back onto the motor and align the brushes with the commutator, especially if the brushes are bent or damaged.
How did you pull off the end cap?
