After reading over the info on the A4988 I have a question about the method of enabling half stepping. MS1 needs to be high. OK to just tap the 5V that feeds the driver power ( NOT motor power ) ? Or should MS1 get its high signal from a digital I/O on the Arduino?

OK… thanks for the reply. I’ll just hard wire it. There will be no need to change stepping rate once things are set up.
