Does Dual VNH5019 Motor Driver Shield for Arduino use RX andTX pins?

Hello, does this shield require RX and TX pins from Arduino? Which pins are they? How can I use other pins if another shield on my mega has already used those two pins?

Hello.

In the users guide, which can be found on the Resources tab of the Dual VNH5019 Motor Driver Shield product page, there is a section titled “Shield Connections” that discusses which Arduino pins are used by the shield.

The shield does not use the TX and RX pins from the Arduino. If the other board you want to use only connects to the Arduino’s RX and TX, you should not have to change anything with either shield. If you find that there are overlapping pins between your shields, you could look at the “Remapping the Arduino Connections” section in the VNH5019 users guide to see how to change the VNH shield connections.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
