Can i run DRV8825 with this NEMA motor

Hi family , i want buy a stepper motor Nema 17

The current per phase is 1.7A > but the drV8825 have 1.5A , i want know if i can run it with this driver with any problem or burn the driver?

Hello,

You should be fine driving that motor with the DRV8825 carrier as long as you set the current limit to the 1.5A the DRV8825 carrier is rated for. Please note you will have about 88% of the holding torque the stepper motor is rated for since the DRV8825 can only supply 1.5A per phase without additional cooling.
