As I said earlier, while the stepper motor might be hot to the touch 60 degrees C might not be hot for that stepper motor. Are you having any problems driving the stepper motor besides that it gets hot?

Hello.

One valid connection would be black and green wires to 1A and 1B, and red and blue wires to 2A and 2B. If you’re still having trouble, can you list all of your connections and post a picture of your setup?
