A4983 1202 powering two units - problem?

Hi,

I’m well on my way with my telescope control project now.

Can you please tell me, is there a potential problem powering two 1202 units from the same source? E.g. one is drawing 1A and the other is inactive or even not connected to a motor, but its vmot and gnd is common with the one drawing 1A? If it is a problem, what is the way around it while still using only one power supply?

Please see attached diagram of my circuit (not fully compelte yet).

Hello.

You can power both 1202 units from the same power source as long as it’s capable of delivering the total power both units will be drawing.
