I’m a newbie to electronics.
I’m working AltIMU-10 v5 with raspberry pi.
should i have a small resister between Vin to Pi power supply pin for safety reasons .
as well as SCL , SDA too ?

You do not need to have a resistor between the AltIMU pins and the Raspberry Pi pins. Just make sure that you power the AltIMU from one of the Raspberry Pi’s 3.3 V supply pins, not the Pi’s 5 V pins. The connections section of the product page has more information.
