Will the Jrk take an analog input from external source?

I’m considering the Jrk 21v3 for a servo controlled valve project but the 0 – 5v input control (RX) would be supplied from an external system. This system would not be on the same power supply and may not be on a common ground. It would just supply a reference DC voltage between two terminals. Assuming I connect the reference voltage ground to the ground pin on the Jrk and the reference voltage +VDC to the RX pin, would this work?

Thanks,
Gary

Hello, Gary.

You should be able to use an analog input signal connected like you described. You can see more about analog control of the jrk in the “Input Options” section of the “Pololu Jrk USB Motor Controller User’s Guide”.
