What's the difference between the D24V25F5 and the D24V22F5?

As per the title! The V22 mentions “reverse voltage protection”, but is cheaper, so I’m not sure why both would be stocked, unless it’s for legacy reasons? I can’t see anything that explains the difference…

thanks,
Danny

Hello, Danny.

The D24V22Fx regulators use a newer design that costs us less to manufacture. If you are trying to decide between the two versions (D24V25F5 and D24V22F5), I recommend using the D24V22F5, which is generally functionally equivalent to the D24V25Fx family of regulators, but has a lower dropout voltage and an additional power good pin.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
