USB-C Female Breakout

I was reading through the specs on this board from Pololu and had a question. They mention you can change the resistor configuration so the port acts as a source. I presume that means pulling the resistors up to VBus is that correct?

When the port is in the source configuration, which direction will power go? In my case I’d like for the breakout board to receive power from the USB-C connected device. I’m only looking for 5V, usb 2 spec, nothing crazy.

Will that configuration work or is there something else i need to do?

Hello.

If you want the USB Type-C connector breakout board to receive power from your connected device, then that means you want it to act as a sink. The board is configured to act as a sink by default, so you do not need to make any modifications.
