Tyres on the encoder-wheel set

Hi

I am currently building a group of small robots that use dead reckoning to track their locations. I am using the Pololu 42x19mm Wheel and Encoder Set, which is great except for the tread on the tyres. The tread causes the robot to pull to the right when it stops, and it wobbles as it drives at slower speed.

Are there any other tyres you could suggest please that would fit on the white hub, as this is needed for the encoder?

Unfortunately, we do not have any other tires that will work with the 42x19mm wheels. If the tread pattern is causing problems, maybe you could find a way to cover it up, such as by wrapping rubber bands around the tires or smoothing over them with something like sugru.
