I just got my Pololu Pushbutton Power Switch LV and was trying it out. I hooked up Vin and ground from the 5V supply on my arduino. Nothing else.
Between Vin and Gnd I have 5v of course, but when I measure between Vout and GND It shows a little over 1V and slowly drops to 0 as I keep the voltmeter on it. Pressing the switch seems to have no effect.
Am I missing something?

I got out the second one I ordered and it works fine, so it looks like it was defective.

I am sorry you are having problems with your Pushbutton Power Switch. Could you tell me more about your setup? It sounds like you didn’t have anything connected to the output when you were testing the switch, could you confirm this? Could you also post pictures of your setup?
