I recently purchased a TReX Jr, and I am controlling via RS-232 serial port. Right now I have an improvised connection consisting of a 3 pin connector stolen from an old computer, but I would like to make it a lot more consistent, reliable, and professional-looking.

What is the best way to connect these pins to the serial cable?

Hello,

I would buy a serial cable, cut off an end, figure out the right wires, and solder them to a female header. You should put heat shrink or hot glue around your solder connections to provide electrical insulation and strain relief.
