Soldering a 15A regulator to a PCB

I want to solder a 15A regulator ( Pololu 12V, 15A Step-Down Voltage Regulator D24V150F12 ) to a PCB. I can use a 0.1" header strip, but I would also like to solder the larger, 2.18mm hole to the PCB.

Has anyone soldered these modules to a PCB?

Suggestions for soldering it?

Hello.

Our recommendation is to solder a short length of either a solid core 12 AWG wire or a stranded 14 AWG wire to the regulator’s large connector holes and matching holes on your PCB. We also suggest using #2 standoffs (or M2) to mount the regulator in a fixed position separated from your PCB, especially in this case since the D24V150F12 is a double sided board.
