I spotted these a while ago, you can get an “ideal” 500mm Minisumo detection range from them for… the problem, 8-pin ODFN was way too small a part for my prototyping methods

Are they something you’d consider for a sensor product?

Thank you for letting us know about this part; we’ll definitely look into it. It is not clear to us that the Si1102 is going to work any better than what we have on the new Zumo 32U4 robot or our 38 kHz IR proximity sensors. If anyone out there has tried these out, can you comment on how real the 50 cm range is?
