RC ESC for larger DC Motors?

I am trying to figure out if an RC ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) with (forward/proportional reverse/brake) will work with this allelectronics.com/make-a-st … R/-/1.html 12V windshield wiper motor at lower voltage, say 6 volts run off a D Cell Nicad Pack. I want to test this with an RC transmitter initially then move it to my microcontroller…but I would really rather not cook a speed control figuring it out.

I don’t know the amperage output of the windshield wiper motor.

Hello,

As long as you stay within the voltage limits of the speed control (many are made specifically for 7.2V battery packs), you shouldn’t have any trouble with the wiper motor.
