QTR-1RC Reflectance Sensor on Picaxe

Hi, Im a relative newby to robotics and picaxe.

I am having trouble getting the QRC-1RC to read on a Picaxe 28x1 though the digital pins. I have had no problems with the QTR-1RA through the analog pins.

Do I need to configure the sensor in my program?
