We are using the Pololu 5V voltage regulator U3V16F5 and we are experiencing strange behaviors with them, however to diagnose the issue we need the reference of the ic that it’s using, we didn’t find this information.
We have made some current measurement without any load and we see high current spikes up to 118mA with a frequency of around 264Hz, why do we have this?
The behavior in your scope capture is normal for step-up regulators like these when there is no load attached. The regulator will only draw current in brief pulses to keep itself powered. You could try to smooth the current out by adding some capacitance close to the regulator input.
