I have a Mac, so I am trying to configure my pololu maestro 12 channel using VirtualBox to run a linux machine. However, VirtualBox is unable to connect to the USB and I get errors like Ubuntu cannot access USB device, failed to create a proxy device for the USB device. I have tried everything from installing the appropriate extensions to editing the USB filter myself and nothing has worked. If anyone has been able to configure their maestro this way, please let me know how! Thank you!

Have you ever been able to successfully share other USB devices on your VM? Can you confirm your Mac is detecting the Maestro? Also, can you post a screenshot showing the USB filter settings that you modified?
