Whats the best way to program the Orangutan SVP-1284 using a mac? Should i run windows inside vmware and use it that way?
I’ve had many bad experiences with using USB devices on virtual machines but I have not tried VMWare. If it works for you, then great.
You could also get a separate programmer like our Pololu USB AVR Programmer. You’ll need a Windows machine to put a special version of the firmware on it in order for it to support the Mac, but after that you can do all your development from the Mac.
