Modifying S8V9F7 7.5v 1A step-up/step-down regulator

Hi there,

I bought the S8V9F7 7.5v 1A voltage regulator to step a 12v power source down to 7.5v and - used in series with a linear voltage regulator - to bring the voltage down to 5v. I later realised that I don’t need the linear regulator for my application! I just need a buck converter that takes me from 12v to 5v.

I know you can modify the output voltage of buck converters by changing one of the resistors in the voltage divider. I have this 7.5v regulator now, it’s nice quality, so it’d be a shame not to use it. Basically, I want to turn it into the S8V9F5.

Pololu don’t provide a schematic diagram for this regulator: does anyone know which resistors on the board are in the step-down voltage divider and what values they are?

While I’m at it I may as well change the step-up divider as well, though my power source will always be between 9-12v.

Many thanks.
Freddie
