MMA7361L accelerometer


I am using MMA7361L in my UGV and I need to know the displacement of the the robot, I am using this accelerometer as a feed back device to correct its position over long displacement. It would be great if you can tell me signal representation is it in Volts or g?

I need help with converting the signal to displacement!

The accelerometer X, Y, and Z outputs are three separate analog voltages. You can find more information about these voltages and how to convert them into acceleration values under the “Using the sensor” section of the product page.

In order to convert acceleration to position, you would need to integrate the signal over time. In general, that method is not likely to be a very accurate way to determine the location of your robot, especially over a large displacement.
