Mini sumo performance

Hello, what is better to do when making a non-magnetic mini sumo, put more weight on the back or front of the sumo?

Thanks !!!

Hello.

In general, that depends on your design and methodology.

For example, if your robot is rear-wheel drive, you might try to shift the weight toward the rear (i.e. over the motors) so it can get more traction, but if the weight is too far back, it could make it easier for the opponent to get underneath your robot and lift it. So, you will need to determine what trade-offs you want to make based on your robot’s design.

If you’re designing your own robot, you might consider checking out the mini sumo robots posted on our blog for some ideas.
