Mini Maestro Pin Input Characteristics

I have not been able to find a specification for using the Mini Maesto pins as Digital or Analog inputs. What is the input voltage limit? I am assuming since the internal regulator is 5vdc that you cannot input higher than 5vdc to the pins?

In an application with up to 14vdc inputs should I use an optocoupler to isolate and trigger the Maestro inputs?

Hello Bork.

The Maestro has both Analog and digital inputs (channels 0 – 11 can be analog inputs; channels 12+ can be digital inputs). The input pins are limited to 0-5V; you could try using an optocoupler, but a voltage divider may be a simpler solution.

More information can be found in the user’s guide; I recommend reading through the channel settings section.
