I just took an old tape deck apart and I’ve ended up with two nice dc motors. They are identical 4-wire Mabuchi motors. The motor wires are listed as +, -, A, B.

Description on label: 12 Vdc 1600/3200 RPM CCW.
Does anyone know what type of motor this is? My attempts at identification have been fruitless.
Motor runs when voltage is applied to +, - pins but I don’t know the function of the A, B pins. I suspect they relate to the speed settings, but I cannot find any reference to this type of set-up online.
