I purchased a D42V55F5 and am getting low voltage on Vout. When supplying 12.18v via Vin and Gnd pins I only read 0.93V on Vout (no load). The voltage on Vrp shows the Vin. I don’t discount the possibility I may be missing something obvious but nothing seems to be amiss.
A dual row header was soldered to the board with a temperature controlled iron with 1-2 second contact per pin. There’s no bridging of pads/pins. Photo attached. Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.
Hello.
Thank you for your order, and I am sorry to hear you are having problems with your voltage regulator. It is hard to tell for sure from your picture, but it looks like some of your solder joints might not be fully wetting to the pads on the board, so I recommend reworking those joints first to make sure you are getting a solid electrical connection. (Adafruit’s Guide to Excellent Soldering is a good resource for identifying and correcting problem joints.)
If that does not fix the problem, could you post some pictures of your test setup that show how everything is connected? Are you doing anything with the optional PG and EN pins?
