I bought the Locosys LC20031-V2 and want to build my own cable instead of using the one that came with it. What type of connector mates with the connector on the board? It appears to be a 9 pin connector of some sort.

The manufacturer, LOCOSYS, does not have much information about the board’s connector in their documentation, but I looked at some of our units here, and it appears to be a 9-pin JST SH-style connector.
