Hi,
I have a 36v 8Ah li-ion battery pack (ebike) designed to be charged with 42v and 1.2A

Will a charger with 42v and 4A dammage the battery? (Blow up the house)

Hi, ceeva.

I recommend asking the manufacturer of your specific bike (or battery) or the manufacturer of the 4A charger what they recommend.

I was thinking if there was a general rule for charging Li-Ion cells. E.g. 20%A of cell Ah or something…
