kmMidiMini - DYI MIDI Controller

Hi, I’ve always wanted the expressive control of a Ribbon Controller to enhance my music setup, and after some experimentation, I finally built a DIY MIDI controller (with Force-Sensing Linear Potentiometer) that makes it possible! In addition it is quite nice platform to create another types of MIDI controllers.

Meet the kmMidiMini, a MIDI controller and interface that seamlessly bridges the gap between vintage analog charm and cutting-edge digital precision. This compact yet powerful device offers an unparalleled blend of retro tactile control and modern versatility, making it the perfect tool for musicians and creators alike.

Oh, and apologies in advance for my quirky English accent.

The best part? All the sources are available—so if you (or someone with the right skills) want to build one yourself, it’s totally doable.

Hope you’ll enjoy it!

Hello, Chris.

That looks like a really fun project! Thank you for sharing it. I particularly like the idea of adding the feel of analog elements into a digital instrument.

Thanks @BrandonM! It’s one thing to see it in action, but the WOW effect truly comes alive when you’re the one turning the knobs and shaping the sound. I’ve tested it with a couple of my colleagues, and their reactions were amazing!
