Is the A-Star 32U4 Prime SV a "5V Arduino Classic board"?

I have purchased a non-Pololu Arduino shield (LSI Logic 7366-SH-3X (3-Axis); 7366-SH | LSI/CSI), and it says “Arduino Classic Compatibility: The board is specifically designed for direct interfacing with a 5V Arduino Classic board. This ensures seamless integration and ease of use for developers already familiar with the Arduino ecosystem. The direct connection simplifies wiring and reduces potential compatibility issues.”

This sounds like a compatible shield, but it would help if others agree. Thanks.

Hello.

I am not familiar with that shield and have not tried it with our A-Star 32U4 Prime controllers. You might consider contacting the manufacturer to see if they can better define what they mean by “classic” Arduino boards. The A-Star 32U4 Prime boards have the same microcontroller and form factor as the Arduino Leonardo, and they run at the same frequency, so if it works with the Leonardo, I generally expect it to be fine.

I glanced at the datasheet and do not see any obvious issues; however, depending on what built-in features on the A-Star you want to use, there might be conflict that requires some remapping. I recommend cross referencing the shield’s datasheet and the “A-Star 32U4 Prime pinout diagram” to see what each pin is used for.
