Introducing the Pololu Simple Motor Controllers

Hello!

We’re excited to announce the release of our new line of Simple Motor Controllers! These controllers make basic control of DC motors easy by supporting quick configuration over USB using our free Simple Motor Control Center software. With four supported high-level interfaces–USB for direct connection to a computer, TTL serial for use with embedded systems, RC hobby servo pulses for use as an RC-controlled electronic speed control (ESC), and analog voltages for use with a potentiometer or analog joystick–and a wide array of configurable settings, these devices simplify the process of adding motor control to a variety of projects. The controller versions offer a wide operating voltage range up to 5.5-40V and continuous current ratings from 12A up to 25A.

We’ve just added a medium-power version to the Simple Motor Controller family: the Simple Motor Controller 18v7. This board offers the same features as the high-power versions, but with less power (up to 7 A continuous) and a lower price.
